Paintings by Fred

Capturing the heart of the Green Mountain State one brushstroke at a time.

Inspired by Vermont Nature

Fred finds inspiration in the serene landscapes of Vermont, the changing seasons, and the intricate details of nature. Whether it's the vibrant colors of autumn leaves, the serene stillness of a snow-covered forest, or the delicate petals of a spring blossom, Fred captures the essence of nature's beauty in each of his pieces.

About Fred.

Prior to becoming an oil painter, Fred taught history for a number of decades at schools in New York, Pennsylvania, California, and Vermont. One of his favorite ways to engage students in studying history was to interpret events through the lens of artists of that particular period. Retirement has allowed Fred the time to pursue his interest in art by focusing on his oil painting. In summer he shifts to teaching woodshop for a couple of months at a camp in the Adirondacks before returning to his studio.
